Children have special educational needs if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special education provision to be made for them. They may be finding it more difficult to learn than the majority of children their own age or they may have a disability which stops them from making full use of the educational facilities provided for the children of the same age in school. William Barnes has a team of very skilled and experienced teachers who work closely together to make sure everyone is making progress. Our SENDCo is Mrs Karen Wrixon and our designated governor for SEND is Mrs Rachel Barbet.
The school follows the guidance contained in the SEN Code of Practice 0 – 25 years – July 2014
