Residentials Return for William Barnes

As the national lockdown began to ease in the Spring, the staff at William Barnes were extremely pleased that they had not rushed into any decisions about cancelling residential trips due to the pandemic. Unlike many schools, William Barnes had always intended to maintain its programme of trips and visits, as long as this was permitted by government guidance. Mr Hull kept in constant contact with Leeson House and when year 5’s original booking in March had to be cancelled, he made sure that new dates were pencilled in for June. Similarly, Mr Field jumped at the offer given to him by PGL at Osmingston bay to visit in May with year 6, and has also arranged year 6’s usual trip to London. Miss Marks has set up new dates for year 4 to head to Carey Camp in June and staff across the school are hoping that their class’s usual day trips will go ahead as normal.
