House Captains to Inspire at William Barnes

House Captains to Inspire at William Barnes

Teachers in years 3 to 6 at William Barnes have decided to choose captains for their Houses Bulbarrow, Meadow, Cedar and Stour to help inspire other children to get more involved in school sport.

These children will join the year 6 Sports Ambassadors in promoting team work, competition and fair play during sporting tournaments held within the school.  All the children in Key Stage 2 get the chance to be sports leaders in weekly PE lessons, and during the school’s daily morning “Wake and Shake”, children take turns leading the warm up, demonstrating the dance, and then finishing with a warm down.  Leadership is a key element of the School’s Sports mark, which William Barnes has now held at Gold level for two consecutive years.
